I was surprised to find that I was the only Indian in the entire class. The rest were Aussie women of all ages and sizes, from uni students to retired flamenco dancers. I was quite taken aback by it all.

And there's now always an obligatory Bollywood-inspired task that our Big Brother housemates have had to do, so that's no shocker either.

The movie theatres are still frequented mostly by international students from India, though, and some local Indians, though once in a while I've spotted an Aussie couple or a pair of grandmas coming in to savour the new flavour.

Anyhow - I'm still getting my head around it all. What I do know is I've made some great friends from those classes, and have done my bit in introducing some good films to them.

By the way - I'm Sree, the one who's writing about a grandmother in Burma.

In case you're interested: www.sreedhevi.blogspot.com

Will keep an eye on this blog, ciao.Sreedhevi Iyerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17646386853682224479noreply@blogger.com
